Transforming growth factor β
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012219
A multifunctional cytokine that controls proliferation, cellular differentiation, and other functions in most cells. It is a secreted protein that exists in at least three isoforms: TGF-β1, TGF-β2, and TGF-β3. This protein has a potent immunosuppressive effect on lymphocytes and macrophages, and it also participates in wound healing and tissue fibrosis.
