Transporters associated with antigen processing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012265
A heterodimeric protein complex, TAP1 and TAP2, located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. This complex actively transports antigenic peptides from the cytosol into the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. There, the peptides bind to major histocompatibility complex class I molecules for presentation on the cell surface.
