Very early activating antigen

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013688

A cell surface molecule expressed on lymphocytes shortly after activation, serving as an indicator of recent immune stimulation. These antigens are typically transiently expressed and play roles in cell signaling and proliferation. An example is the CD69 antigen, which appears within hours of T-cell activation.
