Mass accommodation coefficient
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010601
A dimensionless quantity representing the probability that a gas molecule striking a liquid or solid surface will become incorporated into that phase. It quantifies the efficiency of gas-to-particle conversion processes, such as the uptake of water vapor onto aerosol particles. Values range from 0, indicating no uptake, to 1, signifying complete uptake.
