Anticlined stems
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000670
Chain stems in a polymer crystal whose side groups face opposite ways relative to the chain axis, so neighbouring stems are related by a reversal of side-group direction. Stems in which the side groups face the same way are isoclined. Anticlined stems are found in crystalline poly(alpha-olefins) and in regioregular poly(3-alkylthiophenes).
