Data-dependent acquisition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002869
A mass spectrometry acquisition strategy where initial survey scans are performed to identify precursor ions, and then subsequent fragmentation scans are automatically triggered on the most intense or interesting precursor ions. This approach allows for the automated collection of tandem mass spectrometry data from complex mixtures. It is widely used in proteomics for protein identification and characterization.
