Degree of crystallinity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002944
The mass fraction of a polymer sample that exists in a crystalline state, as opposed to an amorphous state. This value is determined by comparing the enthalpy of fusion of the sample to that of a perfectly crystalline polymer of the same type. It is typically expressed as a percentage or a decimal between 0 and 1.
