Freezing

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004665

A phase transition where a substance changes from a liquid state to a solid state, typically upon cooling. This process involves the formation of an ordered crystal lattice or an amorphous solid structure. The temperature at which this occurs at a given pressure is known as the freezing point.
