Gel aging
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004792
The time-dependent evolution of the structure and properties of a gel after its initial formation. This process involves changes such as syneresis, coarsening of the gel network, or further cross-linking reactions. Gel aging can lead to alterations in mechanical strength, porosity, and permeability of the material.
