Glycans
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013130
Polysaccharides or oligosaccharides composed of many monosaccharide units linked together by glycosidic bonds. These carbohydrate polymers can be linear or branched and are found free or attached to proteins and lipids. They are classified by the types of monosaccharide units they contain, such as glucans or mannans.
