Kratky plot
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006384
A graphical representation used in small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) to analyze the conformation of macromolecules in solution. It plots the product of the scattering intensity and the square of the scattering vector against the scattering vector. This plot can distinguish between compact globular proteins, random coils, and stiff rod-like polymers based on the shape of the curve at high scattering angles.
