Lubricant

A substance applied to surfaces to reduce friction and wear between them, facilitating smoother movement and preventing damage. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, lubricants are often added to powder blends to improve flow properties and prevent sticking to tablet press dies and punches. Common pharmaceutical lubricants include magnesium stearate and talc.
