Molecular orientation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007512

The spatial arrangement of a molecule or a specific part of a molecule relative to a fixed coordinate system or another molecule. This describes the directionality of molecular axes in space, influencing intermolecular interactions and spectroscopic properties. It can be characterized by angles such as Euler angles or by the alignment of molecular dipoles.
