Passive hemagglutination

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008531

An immunological technique where red blood cells are coated with soluble antigens and then used to detect specific antibodies in a sample. If antibodies are present, they will cross-link the antigen-coated red blood cells, leading to visible agglutination. This method is often used for serological diagnosis of infectious diseases.
