Photoelectrochemistry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008857
The study of chemical reactions that occur at the interface between an electrode and an electrolyte solution, driven by light absorption. This field investigates how light energy can be converted into chemical energy or electrical energy through photoinduced charge transfer processes. It is relevant to solar energy conversion and photocatalysis.
