Rotational correlation time
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010422
The average time a molecule takes to rotate through an angle of one radian. This parameter reflects the rate at which a molecule reorients itself in solution due to Brownian motion. It is a key factor in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and fluorescence anisotropy measurements, providing insights into molecular size and viscosity of the medium.
