Solid amalgam electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010987
An electrode constructed from a solid alloy of a metal, such as gold or silver, with mercury. This type of electrode combines the properties of a solid electrode with the unique electrochemical characteristics of mercury, offering a stable and reproducible surface for electrochemical measurements. It is often used in voltammetry for trace metal analysis.
