Addition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000226
A chemical process where two or more molecules combine to form a larger single molecule, without the loss of any atoms. This reaction typically occurs across a multiple bond, such as a double or triple bond, or by the insertion of a molecule into another. It is a fundamental type of reaction in organic chemistry.
