Adduct
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000238
A distinct chemical species formed by the direct combination of two or more separate molecules, where all atoms of the reacting components are incorporated into the single product. This association occurs without the loss of any atoms or the formation of byproducts. A common example is a Lewis adduct, formed between a Lewis acid and a Lewis base.
