Boloamphiphile
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001406
A type of amphiphilic molecule characterized by having two hydrophilic head groups connected by a single hydrophobic chain. Unlike traditional amphiphiles with one head and one tail, boloamphiphiles are symmetric or asymmetric with polar groups at both ends. These molecules often form unique self-assembled structures, such as vesicles or membranes, in aqueous solutions.
