Dye laser
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013052
A type of laser that uses an organic dye solution as its gain medium, capable of producing coherent light over a broad range of wavelengths. The dye molecules are excited by an external light source, such as another laser or a flashlamp, and then emit photons through stimulated emission. These lasers are tunable and widely used in spectroscopy and photochemistry.
