Fibrous activated carbon
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004406
A form of activated carbon produced as fibers, characterized by a high surface area and a porous structure. These fibers are typically derived from organic precursors like rayon or phenolic resins, which are then carbonized and activated. This material finds applications in gas adsorption, water purification, and as electrode materials.
