Functional polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004715
A polymer that possesses specific chemical groups or functionalities designed to impart particular properties or enable specific reactions beyond its basic structural role. These functional groups can be incorporated into the polymer backbone or attached as side chains. Examples include polymers with catalytic sites, drug delivery capabilities, or sensing functionalities.
