Nucleophilicity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008139
A measure of the ability of a nucleophile to donate an electron pair and form a new bond with an electrophile. It is a kinetic property, reflecting the rate at which a nucleophile reacts. Factors influencing nucleophilicity include charge, electronegativity, steric hindrance, and solvent effects.
