Thermistor
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005957
A type of resistor whose resistance is strongly dependent on temperature, much more so than in standard resistors. It is made from semiconductor materials and exhibits a predictable change in electrical resistance with changes in temperature. Negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors decrease in resistance as temperature rises, while positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistors increase.
