Coordination

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002555

The formation of a chemical bond between a central atom or ion and one or more ligands, where the ligands donate a pair of electrons to the central atom. This interaction results in the formation of a coordination complex. The central atom acts as a Lewis acid and the ligand as a Lewis base.
