Diethylstilbestrol

A synthetic non-steroidal estrogen that was formerly prescribed to pregnant women to prevent miscarriage and other pregnancy complications. This compound is a potent endocrine disruptor and has been linked to adverse health effects in offspring, including reproductive tract abnormalities and an increased risk of certain cancers. Its use was banned in many countries due to these severe side effects.
