CD5+ B lymphocyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001768
A distinct subset of B lymphocytes that expresses the CD5 surface marker, in addition to typical B cell markers. These cells are involved in innate immunity and produce natural antibodies, often with low affinity, against common microbial antigens. They are found in the peritoneal and pleural cavities and contribute to autoimmune diseases.
