Conducting polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002394
A macromolecule that exhibits electrical conductivity, typically through a conjugated system of alternating single and double bonds along its backbone. These polymers can conduct electricity due to the delocalization of electrons, allowing charge carriers to move along the polymer chain. Examples include polyacetylene, polypyrrole, and polyaniline, which find applications in organic electronics.
