Current distribution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002795
The spatial variation of current density across the surface of an electrode or within an electrolytic cell. This distribution is influenced by factors such as electrode geometry, electrolyte conductivity, and reaction kinetics. An uneven current distribution can lead to non-uniform deposition or corrosion, affecting the performance and lifespan of electrochemical devices.
