Acid
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012835
A chemical species that can donate a proton (Brønsted acid) or accept an electron pair (Lewis acid). Acids typically have a sour taste, react with bases to form salts, and turn blue litmus paper red. The strength of an acid is quantified by its acid dissociation constant, Ka.
