Asymmetric transformation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000865

A process in which a racemic mixture is converted into a single enantiomer or diastereomer, often through a dynamic equilibrium between the enantiomers or diastereomers under chiral conditions. This can involve crystallization, epimerization, or other reactions that favor the formation of one stereoisomer. The process can achieve a theoretical yield of 100% of a single stereoisomer.
